GLITSKÝ Management Awarded 1,500,000 ISK Grant from Iceland’s Music Fund

GLITSKÝ Management, Iceland’s premier talent management company, has been awarded 1,500,000 ISK from The Music Fund in its second allocation of 2025. The funding will support the company’s mission to develop Icelandic artists, expand international opportunities, and strengthen the global profile of Icelandic music.

Founded by Hrefna Helgadóttir, known as Habbi, GLITSKÝ Management is built on a vision to uncover and elevate exceptional creative talent, helping artists shine on the global stage. The company represents a carefully curated roster including Elín Hall and Baldvin Hlynsson who are both co-managed by seasoned executive Michael Dixon from Nashville’s Sodarock Music.

The grant comes at a pivotal moment: Baldvin Hlynsson premiered his latest single featuring Canada’s youngest Billboard-topping songwriter Sofia Kay on Icelandic radio, while Elín Hall launched her international campaign with a London-based team. These milestones reflect GLITSKÝ’s Management’s focus on strategic growth, artist success, and international impact.

The Music Fund’s support recognizes not only the quality of GLITSKÝ Management’s work but also its long-term vision:

  • Building sustainable, globally-minded careers for Icelandic artists.

  • Offering full-service management covering career development, bookings, marketing, and creative direction.

  • Strengthening Iceland’s music export industry and fostering international collaborations.

Habbi, founder of GLITSKÝ Management, reflects:

“Receiving this grant is a vote of confidence in our vision and our artists.
It validates the hard work, strategic planning, and belief that Icelandic music deserves to be shared with the world. I’m deeply grateful to our artists, our partners, and the Icelandic industry for believing in what we are building.”

The grant will support operational costs, artist development, international travel, and marketing initiatives — further cementing GLITSKÝ Management as a hub for Icelandic talent with global ambitions.
