fyllt í eyðurnar (lifandi flutningur í Hljóðrita) – Elín Hall
Release Date: January 31, 2025 (live studio EP)
Label: Elín Hall (distributed by Alda Music)
Format: Live EP | approx. 23 minutes | 6 tracks (Icelandic, live-in-studio recordings in Hljóðriti)
Genre: Pop with live, raw, intimate delivery
Elín Hall offers a heartfelt midwinter gift to her dedicated listeners: six previously unreleased songs performed live in the studio, meant to “fylla í eyðurnar” (“fill the voids”) before her upcoming international project.
“The Icelandic music scene is amazing and unlike anything else.
I made this little record with a small team of people I’ve called friends since my teenage years. I wanted to release songs that would otherwise end up tucked away in a drawer. I’m always writing and testing my songs on social media.
I’m incredibly grateful to those who encourage me, and together we’re moving forward with this project — me and those who listen.
I feel it’s time for new Icelandic material.
There’s no pretense here, no master plan. Just sincere music and emotion that we captured in one of the country’s finest studios.
All the songs are mostly just one take. Live, raw, and straight to the core.”
– Elín Hall

To fill in the gaps before shifting focus to international material, she recorded them live in the studio with a tight-knit, trusted team. The EP intentionally avoids overproduction—embracing live takes, fragile emotion, and a sense of shared intimacy with her audience.
