Elín Hall Named 3rd Most Recommended Artist at ESNS 2026

Groningen, Netherlands – January 2026: Icelandic singer-songwriter and actress Elín Hall has been named the third most recommended artist at Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) 2026, Europe’s premier showcase festival for emerging talent.

The distinction is based on recommendations from the festival’s official media partners, who select the acts they are most excited to see. This year, Elín Hall received seven nominations from Rolling Stone, Clash, KEXP, The Line of Best Fit, LRT Opus, Hot Press, and Wonderland, placing her among the most highly anticipated performers at this year’s edition, taking place 14–17 January 2026 in Groningen.

Elín Hall will perform two showcases on Thursday, 15 January 2026:

  • Forum Rabo Studio | 20:50–21:30

  • Platosonic (Bagels & Beans) | 14:10–14:30

In 2024–25, Elín Hall began releasing new English-language material produced by Grammy-winning producer Martin Terefe (Adele, Jason Mraz, Yungblud). Her song “As The World Falls Down” was named one of the five best songs of 2025 by Alternative Press, and she has supported both Yungblud and The Smashing Pumpkins on stage. In March 2026, she will open for Laufey in Reykjavik. Her full-length album is set for release in February 2026, marking a major step in her international trajectory.

Icelandic singer-songwriter and actor Elín Hall is a multi-talented and much-revered creative force who feels destined for the upper tiers of pop. She’ll be dropping an album in 2026 and will support Laufey in Reykjavik in March.

She previously represented Iceland for Rás 2 at Europe’s Biggest Gig, hosted by BBC Radio 1, and has been a regular presence at Iceland Airwaves from 2023 to 2025, steadily building a reputation as one of Iceland’s most compelling contemporary artists.
