Rolling Stone Germany gave Elín Hall's Eurosonic performance a four-star review in its March 2026 print edition.

Written by music journalist Ralf Niemczyk, the review highlighted Hall as one of the standout discoveries of Europe's biggest showcase festival, which featured more than 350 artists from 50 countries performing for over 41,000 attendees.

Niemczyk praised Hall's ability to combine "fragile yet powerful songs" with the commanding presence of an award-winning actress, writing that "every song feels like a scene; every pause is deliberate."

The review also reflected on Hall's forthcoming English-language debut album, noting that while writing in English meant stepping away from Icelandic—a transition she found emotionally difficult because of her concern for the future of her mother tongue—it ultimately gives the new songs an added emotional depth while remaining true to their roots.

The review concludes by describing Hall's performance as an invitation into "a world where melancholy does not paralyze—it connects."

“Elín Hall combines fragile yet powerful songs with the commanding presence of an award-winning actress—because she is both.

Every song feels like a scene; every pause is deliberate.”
