GLITSKÝ to represent BLOOD HARMONY at selected Showcase Festivals
Blood Harmony are Icelandic siblings Ösp, Örn and Björk Eldjárn, combining close three-part vocal harmonies with Nordic folk and Americana. Singing in Icelandic and English, they write about relationships, shared memories and the pull of home.
The trio formed in 2020 when the pandemic brought them back to their childhood home in Svarfaðardalur, North Iceland. Ösp and Örn had previously performed together in Brother Grass; with Björk, they converted the basement of the family farm into a studio and began recording songs written over the preceding years.
Their debut album, Simple Pleasures, was released in May 2026 and featured as Album of the Week on RÚV’s Rás 2. The family connection runs through the repertoire: Ösp wrote “Draumsnillingar” as a Christmas present for Örn, while the video for “Summer Leaves” brought together four generations of women.
Blood Harmony have performed at Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and London’s Kings Place. Reviewing “Summer Leaves”, Ear To The Ground Music wrote: “This is the kind of deep, meaningful music that makes me feel rooted in my humanity.”
They perform at Iceland Airwaves in November 2026.
