GLITSKÝ Management is proud to announce our Iceland Airwaves 2026

Spacestation, Blood Harmony, Magnús Jóhann and Brynja’s collaboration with Baldvin Hlynsson feature across festival showcases, an off-venue performance and a short-film premiere.

Reykjavík-based GLITSKÝ Management returns to Iceland Airwaves with a programme running from 5–7 November, bringing together guitar music, Nordic folk, electronics and contemporary dance.

The week begins with Brynja at Rosenberg on Thursday, 5 November, performing music made in collaboration with GLITSKÝ producer and composer Baldvin Hlynsson.

Spacestation take the stage at Reykjavík City Hall on Friday night, following their second European tour and the September release of Who Killed Spacestation? through Alda Music. The album received four stars from RÚV, with music featured in Made in Chelsea. Their live performances pair distorted guitars and driving rhythms with melodic songwriting in Icelandic and English. The band also play an afternoon off-venue set at Lucky Records on Saturday.

Saturday brings the premiere of Magnús Jóhann’s See Instructions at Bíó Paradís, an official Iceland Airwaves partner event celebrating his tenth solo album. Produced by Comrade Film and directed by Asra & Kiljan, the 11-minute film features Magnús alongside contemporary dancers Íris Ásmundar and Karítas Lotta.

The project began as a stage work about three office workers attempting to activate a machine whose purpose remained unclear. The film develops that premise with a nod to Norse mythology, accompanied by music combining piano, electronic drones and fragmented beats. Two screenings will take place during the free event, with vinyl and merchandise available.

Blood Harmony perform at Rosenberg on Saturday evening. Siblings Ösp, Örn and Björk Eldjárn combine close three-part vocal harmonies with Nordic folk and Americana. Their debut album, Simple Pleasures, was released in May and featured as Album of the Week on RÚV’s Rás 2. Previous appearances include Cambridge Folk Festival, Celtic Connections and London’s Kings Place.
